Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to educate and guide patients with heart disease and related conditions in cardiac rehabilitation and community programs. Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• AACVRP-CCRP certification must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree required for role.

Responsibilities

• Educates and counsels patients on exercise, nutrition, smoking cessation, stress management, and healthy lifestyles.
• Develops and modifies exercise prescriptions and demonstrates exercises.
• Leads and supervises patients in cardiac rehab classes.
• Provides supervision for participants in the Fit for Life program.
