Job summary

Endeavor Health in the Chicago area seeks an Exercise Physiologist specializing in Cardiac Rehab to develop and implement personalized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary patients, and to monitor patients during sessions with ECG.

Requirements include 1+ year rehab experience, ECG interpretation, CPR, ACLS within 6 months, and a BS in Exercise Science (MS preferred). Rotating locations include Chicago, Evanston and Highland Park, with PRN scheduling and no weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred.
• ECG (EKG) interpretation skills are highly preferred.
• Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience required.
• BS degree in exercise science or related field; MS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.
• Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG).
• Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress.
• Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down.
• Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Support safe, effective progression toward independent, home-based exercise routines.
