Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Part Time Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab. The role supports patients referred to cardiac rehabilitation with supervised exercise, ECG-monitored activity, and education on disease management and lifestyle modification.

The successful candidate will hold BLS and ACLS within 6 months, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field, and preferred ACSM CES/RCEP credentials, with 1-3 years in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• ACSM CES or ACSM RCEP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of inpatients and outpatients referred to cardiac rehabilitation services.
• Develop exercise prescriptions and individual treatment plans including education, exercise, behavior change and counseling.
• Monitor progress via blood pressure, ECG, perceived exertion and patient symptoms; adjust care accordingly.
• Maintain accurate patient program data and assist in outcomes measurement/management.
• Lead exercise and educational classes.
• Perform duties necessary for other departmental service.
