Job summary

OSF HealthCare is hiring an Exercise Physiologist to deliver medically prescribed exercise therapy for patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions. You will monitor patient status and adjust programs under ACSM and AACVPR guidelines, collaborating with the cardiac rehab team to ensure safe progression and outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, BLS, and ACLS within six months, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Health Science, Kinesiology or Sports Medicine.
• BLS Certification; ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid Microsoft software proficiency.
• EKG Interpretation training completion within 6 months as required by OSF.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically prescribed exercise therapy per ACSM/AACVPR guidelines.
• Monitor patient status using heart rate, BP, SpO2, and RPE; adjust exercise accordingly.
• Collaborate with cardiac rehab team to plan progression and document outcomes.
