Job summary

The Patient Care Technician role at Endeavor Health is based at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. You will aid RN/LPN with patient care, respond to call lights, and support ADLs, admissions, and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requirements include CNA training (preferred) and a current BLS certificate. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA training preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights, assist with hourly rounds.
• Assist in safe patient handling and ambulation with nursing staff.
• Provide basic nursing care: bathing, grooming, feeding, positioning, and hygiene.
• Assist with admissions, discharge, and transfers and patient room orientation.
• Perform documented patient care activities: vitals, intake/output, and routine tests as directed.
• Support department tasks: restocking, handling calls, and supplying equipment.
• Assist in other nursing department duties as assigned.
