Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice (or compact license).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.
• Additional certifications or education may be required depending on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and educational needs.
• Develop and implement a plan of care, including discharge planning.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document care in the patient record and communicate with physicians.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
