Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
RN license in state of practice.
BLS certification required.
Must have 1–2 years of clinical experience in the relevant patient population.

Responsibilities

Oversees unit operations to ensure smooth patient care and appropriate bed/staff assignments.
Manages patient and employee satisfaction while promoting safety and retention.
Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements aligned with metrics.
Develops leadership skills and supports career advancement for staff.
Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance/leadership efforts.
Handles staff orientation, onboarding, retention, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Assists in budget development and resource management to ensure optimal productivity.
Supervises unit staff to ensure excellent patient care and schedules, timekeeping, and supplies.
