Job summary

Cross-training between PreOp and PACU supports continuity of care and efficient patient flow. The position requires valid RN licensure, BLS, and experience in acute care; new grads with appropriate experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with ASN/BSN/MSN.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification required.
• Experience in clinical nursing preferred, especially in perianesthesia or perioperative settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and educational needs.
• Formulate and revise a plan of care including discharge planning.
• Implement care per physician orders and nursing plan; supervise others as needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and adapt care plans accordingly.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Promote quality and safety through adherence to standards and best practices.
