Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an RN Manager for the Perianesthesia department in Mesa, Arizona. The role leads Pre-Op, Phase 1 Recovery and Phase 2 areas with 25-30 direct reports, driving safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

As a key leader, you will guide staff through evidence-based practices, participate in governance, and manage budget and staffing to support excellent outcomes for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required.
• RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• New Leader Experience certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations of the unit to ensure smooth patient care and staffing.
• Manages the unit to promote patient and employee satisfaction and safety.
• Coordinates quality initiatives and process improvements; aligns with metrics.
• Develops leadership and engagement among staff; supports career advancement.
• Facilitates unit meetings and shared governance activities.
• Leads recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and retention efforts for staff.
• Assists in operational and capital budgeting; manages resources daily.
• Supervises clinical unit staff to ensure high-quality care.
