Job summary

The Banner Health New Nurse Experience Program is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.

Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by

Qualifications

Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date.
No more than 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care per policy and professional standards.
Formulates and revises the plan of care in collaboration with patients, families and health team.
Provides care per physician orders and nursing plan of care, with appropriate supervision.
Documents patient status and care, ensuring timely communication among care team.
Participates in mentoring and teaching of new grads and supports unit leadership.
