Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a part-time Critical Care Tech to support the RN team in the Pavilion 9 cardiac unit. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring patients, and providing direct patient care in a high-acuity environment at Cooper Norcross University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

The position requires PCT training, active certification, and BLS. You will work 24 hours per week, with 7p-7:30a shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in patient care.
• Graduate of PCT program and active PCT certification.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• CPT or CPCT-A certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with activities of daily living and support the care plan.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to the RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families on care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and orientation for new hires.
• Complete annual hospital/unit competencies by the due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe environment and high-quality care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
