Job summary

The Carle Health echocardiography position focuses on providing high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels for adults, with support for exercise and pharmacologic stress tests. The role includes stress tests, TEE assistance, and collaboration with cardiology to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of patient age-specific needs in daily duties.
• Uses ultrasound and doppler techniques to obtain optimal cardiac images.
• Recognizes normal vs abnormal findings and artifacts.
• Performs M-Mode measurements of cardiac structures.
• Assesses blood flow with pulsed and continuous-wave Doppler.
• Uses contrast echocardiography when needed to improve image quality.
• Documents results and communicates with cardiologist.
• Prepares patients for dobutamine and exercise stress echocardiograms.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and regional mobile echo service.

Education

ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year

Sonography or Related field
