Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician guidance. This entry-level role supports the clinical team and emphasizes patient safety and quality outcomes.

The position is part-time (30 hours) with 10-hour days and on-call shifts, located at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. Candidates should be recent graduates or new to the field with ARDMS/CCI and BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography is required.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule echocardiography exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians and patients.
• Prepare patients according to procedures and educate them on the process.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner following protocols.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers during exams.
• Document exam results and apply correct charge codes.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area; manage supplies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
• Educate other caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
