Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Cardiac Sonographer I to perform routine and emergency echocardiograms across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will document findings, ensure protocol adherence, and support patient education while maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Must be ARRT/ARDMS registered within a year of hire; CPR/BLS certification is required. The role requires flexibility for weekends/call and collaboration with the Echo Lab team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ARRT(S), RDMS, and/or RDCS registration within one year of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D/3D/Doppler, TEE, Stress Echo).
• Record quality information and follow protocols.
• Explain procedures and potential side effects to patients/families.
• Provide echocardiography service at necessary locations and shifts, including on-call.
• Operate equipment and maintain/ troubleshoot as needed.
