Job summary

Ascension Health in Baltimore, MD, seeks an experienced ultrasound technologist for the Cardiology practice. You will perform complex transthoracic and stress echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics, while calibrating equipment and ensuring protocol adherence.

Role includes maintaining procedure room readiness, stocking supplies, and supporting a safe environment. Licensure and ARDMS/CCI credentials are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Cardiac Sonography ARDMS credential within 6 months of hire date.
• Medical Sonography ARDMS credential within 6 months; CCI accepted.
• Vascular Sonography ARDMS credential within 6 months; CCI accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist Radiography ARRT credential within 6 months; MD licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex transthoracic and stress echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
• Calibrate and adjust ultrasound system settings; manipulate transducers for high-resolution images.
• Position patients and select parameters to meet diagnostic protocols.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of procedure rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and valid.
