Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Echo Technologist to oversee technical procedures, patient care and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. You will perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing and assist physicians and sonographers to deliver high-quality exams.

This role requires BLS within 30 days, RCIS certification, and an Associate's Degree in Sonography. Experience may substitute for education, with on-site responsibilities in Urbana, IL.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• RCIS certification (CCI).
• Associate's Degree in Sonography.
• Experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex echocardiographic imaging per guidelines.
• Evaluates image quality by assessing positioning, technical factors and alignment.
• Documents studies and charges in Epic; enters preliminary info in Xcelera for physician reading.
• Rotates on-call shifts during weeknights and weekends with team.
• Administers contrast when needed and not contraindicated.
