Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and capture high-quality cardiac images while ensuring patient comfort. You will operate ultrasound equipment, follow physician orders, and maintain clear patient records in a collaborative cardiology setting.

The role requires knowledge of cardiac anatomy, strong technical skills, and effective communication to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Sonography and 1-3 years minimum experience in Echocardiography.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) on hire
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer on hire
• Basic Life Support (CPR) on hire

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform ultrasound tests per physicians’ orders and department protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain cross-sectional cardiac images and data.
• Deliver patient care for all age groups and act as liaison between patient and physician.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report significant changes to nursing staff.
• Review and compile clinical data for physician interpretation of echo records.
