Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images for evaluation of cardiac function and structure.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating echocardiography equipment, obtaining measurements, and supporting physicians in patient care. Collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals is essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • ARDMS or equivalent cardiac sonography certification preferred or required as applicable.
  • Current state license or certification as required.
  • Previous echocardiography experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, Doppler techniques, and ultrasound principles.
  • Excellent technical, communication, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for examinations.
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment.
  • Obtain accurate cardiac images, measurements, and Doppler data.
  • Recognize and document relevant cardiac findings according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Ensure images are complete, technically accurate, and suitable for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
  • Follow infection control, patient safety, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
