Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist specialized in Cardiac Sonography to perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography for inpatients and outpatients, following ARDMS/CCI standards.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and collaboration with physicians; current BLS and required credentials must be maintained. 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred; 2+ years sonography experience encouraged.
• ARDMS or CCI certification required or obtained within defined timeline.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac Ultrasound procedures including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography per protocol.
• Analyze and communicate findings; prepare reports; ensure accurate pre/post processing of files.
• Maintain equipment, schedule workload, and participate in quality improvement activities.
