Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Winder, GA seeks an Echo Technician to join the sonography team as a part-time PRN staff member. The role covers 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echo procedures in adults and pediatrics, with emphasis on accuracy, patient communication, and documentation.

You will maintain PI documentation, assist with after-hours coverage as needed, and support department protocols while providing patient education and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Sonography-Cardiac (RDCS or RCS).
• BLS Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0–2 years of clinical Echo experience.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all cardiac ultrasound/echo procedures and accurate reporting.
• Maintains PI documentation and charges correctly.
• Participates in after-hours coverage as needed.
• Performs patient education and ensures comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintains equipment and room readiness and supports department protocols.
