Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Cardiac Echo Technologist to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and Doppler echocardiography in adult and pediatric patients. Requires Cardiac RDCS/RCS certification and BLS; 0–2 years echo experience preferred.

Role includes charting, patient education, and collaboration with MDs. Position involves maintaining PI documentation, following safety and accreditation standards, and may require after-hours call to support echo

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Sonography-Cardiac (RDCS or RCS).
• BLS Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of Clinical Echo experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all cardiac ultrasound/echo procedures.
• Follows protocol for technologist report elements before MD review.
• Explains procedures to patient and family.
• Prioritizes workload with attention to urgency.
• Maintains documentation and records for IAC accreditation requirements.
• Keeps equipment and rooms clean and stocked.
• Assists in patient orientation and provides information to patients/families.
