Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction for identification of abnormalities. This role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field.

The position is part-time, 30 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts on 3/10’s and on-call shifts at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. You will collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care and participate in ongoing staff education.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; education from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by educating patient and family and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per department protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique.
• Support quality improvement processes and initiatives.
