Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus Echocardiography is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echo and stress echo exams, record quality data, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of cardiac ultrasound training program is required.
• RDCS certification within 1 year of employment.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Records quality information while performing imaging and follows guidelines.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to patients and families.
• Confirms physician requests and evaluates clinical history for indicators.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Operates echocardiography equipment used for studies.
• Maintains patient medical records and organizes reporting stages.
