Job summary

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital in Wayne, MI is seeking a part-time Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography exams and related studies.

The role includes 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, m-mode, transesophageal studies, and stress echo with pharmacologic or exercise protocols. Mentoring fellow ultrasonographers and students is encouraged as part of clinical education. The schedule is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, dayshift.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Diagnostic Ultrasound with associated degree or equivalent.
• BLS/ARC or AHA certification upon hire.
• ARDMS cardiac-related credentials within 1 year of hire.
• Cardiac, Breast, Abdomen, OB/Gyn, and vascular sonography credentials as specified.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams: 2D imaging, spectral/color Doppler, and m-mode.
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiography as required.
• Perform exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms.
• Carry out saline and left ventricular opacification studies.
• Instruct personnel in technical performance and cardiac pathology.
• Mentor/preceptor for other ultrasonographers and students.

Associate's degree or equivalent

Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
