Job summary

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital in Wayne, MI, seeks a Part-time Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform echocardiography including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and M-mode. Transesophageal and provocative studies may be performed as needed.

The role requires RDCS/RCS credentials and includes mentoring and training of staff and students. Schedule is days, 20 hours weekly, with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
• BLS certification via AHA or ARC preferred upon hire.
• ARDMS credentials as listed required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and m-mode.
• Conduct transesophageal echocardiography; exercise and pharmacologic studies as indicated.
• Instruct/mentor medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology.
• May act as a mentor/preceptor for ultrasonographers and/or students.
