Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, MI, is seeking a part-time Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to join the Echo department. You will perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and transesophageal studies as needed.

Requires RDCS/ACS or RCS credentials; mentoring responsibilities and teaching may be involved. Schedule is 24 hours per week, shift 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with variable days and every fourth weekend.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• 1 year or equivalent training in diagnostic sonography.
• BLS certification upon hire (AHA or ARC).
• ARDMS RDCS/RCS credentials required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and m-mode.
• Include transesophageal, exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms, and LV opacification as applicable.
• Instruct medical personnel on technique and cardiac pathology; mentor students.
