Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital seeks a Cardiac Ultrasound Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiography exams, including 2D imaging, spectral and color Doppler, and m-mode. The role involves education of staff and may include mentoring students or junior ultrasonographers.

Required credentials include RDCS/RCS with cardiac focus, ARDMS certification, and BLS. Day shifts, full-time, onsite at Dearborn campus, with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• Four-year transition to higher credentialing is not required; ARDMS/ARDMS subspecialties preferred.
• Must hold BLS certification at time of hire (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Cardiac RDCS or RCS credentials are required with relevant experience.
• AR/OBGYN/Abdomen credentialing options are accepted as part of ARDMS suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams (2D, spectral/color Doppler, m-mode).
• Conduct transesophageal and pharmacologic echocardiography as needed.
• Provide instruction to staff on technical performance and cardiac pathology.
• Potentially mentor/precept students or Ultrasonographers.
