Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO, seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician guidance. The role features four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM), on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time, and primary duties at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with clinic rotations.

Minimum qualifications include ARDMS/CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (accredited institution).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, offices, caregivers, and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification and education.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and in timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and family.
• Document exam results and required information.
• Apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Coordinate repairs or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support quality improvement processes and educational opportunities.
