Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction at St. Mary's Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction, CO.

Full-time, 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri) with a rotating day off and on-call responsibilities requiring a 30-minute response time. ARDMS/CCI and BLS are required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (education from accredited institution).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by standard patient ID procedures and educating patients and families.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistently with related protocols and timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate with physicians and care team during exams.
• Document exam results and charge codes, maintain equipment and work area.
