Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction.

Full-time role with four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri), plus rotating days off and on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response. ARDMS/CCI and BLS are required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by identifying patients, educating them on procedure, and transporting them.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
