Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician supervision at St. Marys Regional Hospital, with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction.

This full-time role includes four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri) and on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response. The candidate should hold ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS certification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by educating patient and family on procedure and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers during exams.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and educate others.
