Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training in echocardiography.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms including M-mode, 2D/3D, spectral and color Doppler per protocol.
• Reviews medical records and communicates findings to reading physicians.
• Maintains competency in IV placement and saline/UEA studies as per protocol.
• Generates preliminary reports with required measurements.
• Prioritizes urgent studies and recognizes critical abnormalities for prompt escalation.
• Instructs fellows and staff in scanning techniques.
• Maintains documentation and attends weekly conferences for CME.
