Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our lab team. You will perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and Doppler echocardiography across adult and pediatric patients, while supporting PI documentation and department protocols.

Applicants should have a Cardiac Sonography certificate (RDCS/RCS) and a high school diploma; 1 year clinical experience is preferred. Strong communication and infection control are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Sonography-Cardiac Specific (RDCS or RCS).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; pediatric echo desirable.
• Maintain BLS certification and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cardiac ultrasound and echo procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patient and family clearly.
• Prioritize workload and respond to urgent cases as needed.
• Maintain ICAEL documentation and accreditation records.
• Accurately input data to charge/readings per protocol.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean procedure area.
