Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Echo Vascular Technologist to perform and interpret cardiac ultrasound procedures across adult and pediatric patients. The role requires registry in Medical Sonography-Cardiac Specific and contributes to coverage for emergent echo cases, including off-hours call.

The position supports the lab team, adheres to patient safety and infection control standards, and participates in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must obtain registry in Medical Sonography-Cardiac Specific (RDCS or RCS) within 1st year of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an adult echocardiogram program with a minimum of 800 clinical hours.
• One year clinical experience preferred; pediatric experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform all cardiac ultrasound and echo procedures with accuracy according to protocol.
• Explain cardiac procedures to patient and family members.
• Input data to charge/credit patient charges and maintain ICAEL records.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure equipment readiness.
