Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiograms and assist physicians in cardiac diagnosis. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The position supports 7:30 am to 4:00 pm shifts with no weekends or holidays, at multiple Cardiac Diagnostic Centers.

Qualified candidates will have ARDMS RDCS or RCVT certification, CPR, and IV contrast experience. Associates degree preferred; stress echo experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Performs 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms.
• Performs stress echocardiograms.
• Performs IV starts for Dobutamine stress testing.
• Demonstrates skills for adult and geriatric echocardiograms.
• Presents completed echocardiograms to physicians.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal echocardiograms.
• Instructs students in clinical procedures.
• Operates Ascend reporting and non-invasive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms.
• Perform stress echocardiograms.
• Perform IV starts for Dobutamine stress testing.
• Demonstrate skill in providing quality echocardiograms for adults/elderly.
• Present results to physicians accurately.
• Identify normal vs abnormal studies.
• Instruct students during procedures.
• Maintain equipment and safety standards.
