Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Full-Time Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and support the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab. The role includes on-call shifts and potential pediatric studies, with primary work at Christiana Hospital and occasional coverage at Wilmington Hospital.

Requirements include graduation from a diagnostic ultrasound program, ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS eligibility within year, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ultrasound program or equivalent training.
• Registry-eligible; must sit for RDCS/RCS within first year.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Documents patient history and technologist impressions.
• Assists with transesophageal echocardiography.
• Assists in instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and fellows.
• Rotates on-call schedule and weekend coverage.
• Performs pediatric echocardiography if experienced.
• Cares for patients across pediatrics to geriatrics, adapting to growth and development.
