Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler studies and stress echocardiograms. You will assist physicians in diagnosis, manage IV access for dobutamine studies, and present results to clinicians.

The role requires ARDMS/RCVT or registry-eligible credentials, an associated degree, CPR certification, and experience with stress echo.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• ARDMS RDCS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International RDCS/RCVT or registry-eligible new graduate.
• CPR certification required.
• IV experience with saline contrast.
• Experience in stress echo, dobutamine stress echo and adult echo.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms.
• Performs stress echocardiograms.
• Performs IV starts for Dobutamine stress testing.
• Demonstrates skills to provide quality echocardiograms for adult and geriatric populations.
• Accurately present completed echocardiograms to physicians.
• Demonstrates ability to recognize normal and abnormal echocardiograms.
• Instructs students in clinical procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Ascend reporting.
• Operates non-invasive procedures and equipment.
• Maintains high standard of patient care.
• Complies with departmental policies and procedures.
• Rotates to all Cardiac Diagnostic Centers.
• Enters accurate patient study information.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services.
• Maintains CPR and mandatory inservice education.
• Performs work safely and reports hazards.
• Performs other related duties as required.
