Job summary

Mercy Health in West Hospital is seeking a registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart. Procedures include Transtholoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography and Cardiac Stress testing.

The role requires an Associate degree in an applied health science field with a cardiovascular focus, BLS certification, and credentialing as RDCS or RCS.

Qualifications

• Formal training in cardiac imaging and ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital EMR to review patient information and document critical findings.
• On-call hours required.
