Job summary

Mount Carmel, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography and vascular studies across locations. The role requires ARDMS/RVT or RDCS credentials, BLS, and 1+ year of cardiovascular imaging experience.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate exams, documenting findings, and coordinating with physicians and teams to ensure quality patient care. Day shift, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Registered by ARDMS as RVT or RDCS; or registered by CCI as RCS or RVS and achieve certification within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum one year in cardiovascular imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders to ensure correct procedures and patient identification.
• Perform echocardiography and/or vascular testing per accreditation guidelines.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions; maintain patient comfort.
• Document findings accurately in diagnostic systems and ensure report accuracy before dispatch.
• Collaborate with care teams and other departments to optimize patient care.
• Maintain equipment readiness and participate in new equipment evaluations.
