Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando seeks a Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to guide the lab, mentor staff, and drive excellence in patient care. You will balance lifesaving procedures with coaching, equipment management, and safe, high-quality environments for every patient.

You will lead by example, support hiring and onboarding, and champion evidence-based standards to empower your team and advance the Cath Lab’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography or RCIS within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cardiac and vascular procedures with precision and safety.
• Coach, mentor, and precept team members to uphold best practices.
• Oversee workflow, troubleshoot equipment, maintain a sterile environment.
• Advocate for patients and families throughout the care journey.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and communication of new practices.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As the Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be more than an expert in the lab—you’ll be the guide who sets the standard for excellence. With advanced technology and staffing resources available to you, your leadership will inspire confidence, strengthen teamwork, and ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care. Your influence will extend beyond each procedure, shaping the growth of your colleagues and the future of our Cath Lab.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading by example during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring precision, safety, and compassionate care
• Coaching, mentoring, and precepting team members to build confidence, skill, and alignment with best practices
• Overseeing workflow, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe, sterile, and fully prepared environment
• Advocating for patients and families throughout the care journey, providing guidance, education, and reassurance
• Driving team success by supporting hiring, onboarding, and communication of new practices and standards

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
