Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing operations on a unit, ensuring quality patient care and regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with the unit-based leadership team, and readiness to assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with substantial clinical and specialty-area experience, and current Georgia RN

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team and provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.

Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
