Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing operations on a dedicated unit. You will supervise clinical staff, ensure safe patient care, and collaborate with the unit-based leadership team.

In the absence of the Manager or Director, you may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility and work with a unit-specific patient population to uphold Northside’s standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in area of specialty.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with 2 years of clinical/ specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of a unit.
• Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in absence of Manager or Director.
• Work with a unit-specific patient population to maintain care standards.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Required

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Preferred

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
