Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5E Heart Failure Unit in Newark, DE. This full-time role features day and midnight rotating shifts (7A-7P & 7P-7A) with 72 hours per pay period and weekend/holiday requirements.

The 5E unit provides high-acuity cardiac care, including post‑operative open-heart surgery and LVAD patients. Responsibilities include detailed patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient education.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within 3 years of hire.
• At least one year of RN experience required; critical care/stepdown preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to heart failure patients with high-acuity needs.
• Perform advanced assessment, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, med administration, and patient education.
