Job summary

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Card Services Assistant Manager to oversee daily card operations and lead a team dedicated to accurate, efficient member service. In this role you will coach staff, manage performance, resolve escalated issues, monitor fraud and disputes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support department reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Card Services leadership within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of debit/credit card operations, fraud prevention, and disputes.
• Familiarity with federal and state banking regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and staff coaching skills.
• Ability to develop employees and promote a high-service culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily debit and credit card services and processing activities.
• Provide direction, coaching, and support to Card Services staff.
• Coach, develop, and motivate employees with performance management.
• Resolve escalated member and operational issues.
• Coordinate follow-up on lost/stolen cards and fraud activity.
• Monitor cardholder activity to identify potential fraud.
• Respond to cardholder disputes according to regulations.
• Analyze data to improve card limits, rewards, and programs.
• Oversee instant-issue programs and card supplies.
• Support management with reporting, audits, and process improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve Card Services issues.
• Ensure compliance with policies and federal/state regulations.
• Support departmental and organizational goals; promote service excellence.
