First New York is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert for debit and credit card and transaction processing. This role reports to the Operations Manager and ensures accurate posting, reporting, and compliance across back-office activities.

You will balance daily ACH, check processing, wire transfers, and payroll-related transactions, while maintaining data integrity and providing timely support to members and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in debit and credit card processing and payment systems.
• Experience in a financial institution is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and explain card transactions posted to member accounts.
• Proficient in Word and Excel with strong written and oral communication.

Aufgaben

• Serve as SME for all card-related activities including card products, creation, and maintenance; document trends from monthly reports.
• Assist in preparing the Quarterly Visa Operating Certificate.
• Balance back-office cycle of daily share draft clearing and postings; reconcile GL accounts and communicate with vendors and members.
• Review and process member and business checks via Remote Deposit Capture; ensure endorsements, dates, amounts, image quality, and REG CC holds where needed.
• Balance back-office ACH processing; post ACH transactions and exceptions; maintain GL balances.
• Upload and release daily ACH files for consumers and businesses.
• Maintain member payrolls and payroll allocations; post checks and reconcile GL; set up recurring payroll deductions.
• Process IRS backup withholdings and IRA withholdings; participate in Abandoned Property.
• Provide top quality support to front office; assist with research as needed.
