Job summary

First New York Federal Credit Union is seeking an Operations Specialist who will serve as a subject matter expert for all card-related activities, including card products, creation, and maintenance. The role involves balancing back-office processing for share drafts, checks, and ACH with liaison to vendors and members.

The ideal candidate will have experience with debit/credit card systems, be proficient in Excel and Word, and possess strong communication and analytical skills to ensure data

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
• Experience working with debit and credit cards and payment systems required.
• Financial institution experience required.
• Ability to interpret and explain credit union transactions posted to member accounts.
• Ability to interpret computer generated reports.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math/computer skills/data entry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for all card-related activities including card products, creation, and maintenance.
• Assist in preparing the Quarterly Visa Operating Certificate.
• Balance back-office daily share draft clearing and posting to GLs.
• Review and process member and business checks via RDC/ITM/ATM.
• Balance back-office daily ACH processing and posting to GLs.
• Upload and release daily ACH files for customers.
• Maintain member payrolls and payroll allocations, post and balance checks.
• Process, track and report IRS Backup Withholding & IRA Withholdings.
