Job summary

ACV Auctions in Dallas, TX is seeking a motivated Inspector to inspect vehicles at dealerships and auctions, document conditions, and estimate repair costs. You’ll travel to locations, photograph vehicles, and submit detailed reports for the auction platform.

You’ll partner with Territory Managers and Inspectors to ensure accurate, timely condition reports while supporting sales through up-sell opportunities. A valid license and ability to work outdoors are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automobile field with a customer-service focus.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in variable conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Excellent communication to understand customer needs.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered and insured vehicle.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites for damage and issues.
• Prepare reports of vehicle condition and estimated repair costs.
• Assist sales in up-selling or cross-selling services and products.
• Build relationships with dealers and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to various dealerships and homes to inspect and report.
• Capture and upload multiple vehicle photos to the image server.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
