Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team in the Dallas area. Inspectors will evaluate dealer and off-lease vehicles, document condition, and provide clear cost estimates while supporting the customer experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on vehicle knowledge, strong communication with dealers, and the ability to travel to various locations to perform inspections and generate accurate condition reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and resourcefulness.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships and auctions to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit vehicle condition reports with estimates for repairs or replacements.
• Assist sales by upselling or cross-selling services and products.
• Maintain strong relationships with dealers and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write reports.
• Capture and organize vehicle photos matching them to each vehicle in the system.
• List inspected vehicles for bidding on the ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for ACV’s platform.
