Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing field team. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations to identify damage and mechanical issues, then prepare detailed condition reports and repair estimates.

You will collaborate with Territory Managers, support the sales team, and travel to sites to ensure client satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential for success at ACV.

Qualifications

• Experience in automobile field or service roles preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections at dealerships and auctions to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit vehicle condition reports and cost estimates.
• Assist sales team with up-sell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with dealers for client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships, homes, and off-lease locations for inspections.
• Capture and upload multiple photos and attach to reports.
• List inspected vehicles on ACV platform for bidding.
