Job summary

The State of Colorado invites applications for the Capitol Complex Facilities Director, overseeing operations for buildings and grounds within the Capitol Complex. This role also manages budgeting, contracts, and coordination with the Capitol Complex Architect’s office.

We seek leaders with extensive facilities management experience, strong supervisory skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with tenants, security, vendors, and state leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least ten (10) years, two (2) must be supervisory.
• Or: Combination of related education and/or relevant experience, two (2) must be supervisory, equal to at least ten (10) years.
• Preferred qualifications include state service related to the work, familiarity with procurement, portfolio facilities management, supervisory experience, and tenant relations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Capitol Complex facilities operations across buildings and grounds.
• Oversee Capitol Complex budget in conjunction with leadership and DPA.
• Oversee Capitol Complex Architect's office and events operations.
• Lead staff and maintain relationships with tenants, security, and vendors.
